Bringing to Hubbub skills honed from long experience, Andre helps businesses reach markets that they would not have going through traditional mediums – and to do so more effectively. His role involves making contact with new prospects, maintaining existing relationships, and ensuring both receive maximum benefit from yourBusinessChannel.
Previously, Andre was a specialist operating in retail environments, initially for a lighting company in New Zealand, and later for a financial services company in the UK. While both roles had a high level of people contact with many small teams both on the ground and with head office support and senior executives, the second posed a most significant challenge.
In Scotland, Andre oversaw the launch of nearly a dozen new stores into a new market. Driving sales and standards, and developing new opportunities, he built the business quickly, shaping a highly effective team from people who had no previous experience within the industry. Within 18 months, he had taken those stores to the very top of all 28 areas in which the company had presence.
"Understanding your customer is imperative if you want to deliver excellent results, and deliver them consistently," says Andre. "And you must never forget that long proven combination of taking lessons from those who have made things work, and being new and innovative for the right reasons."
While always keen to get his hands dirty in the ruck, Andre is a keen rugby follower. Although he hasn't been on the pitch since arriving in the UK, devoting his time to his most favourite hobby – spending time with his son.
